An exciting opportunity presented itself mid-2019, there was a call for artist within my city. The art would be placed on one of the traffic boxes within the city, so they wanted the community's artist to create pieces inspired and representing the City of Sunrise. Creating various designs, I submitted some pieces.
About a year later, with the pandemic having taken over 2020, I received a call from the city saying that one of my pieces was chosen to be wrapped on a traffic box. Out of the many applying artist, I was surprised and in shock. So after some size changes and signing off on the wrap layout, I can proudly say my art is on public display within my city.
Overall, I enjoyed this experience and am honored to have been one of the artist chosen and can't wait to apply again for the Phase II portion of the city.
